Friday night May 31st at Tri City Speedway the 61st Hut 100 will be the place to be. The Hut 100 has a history dating back as far as 1954 when Al Herman took out the first Hut 100.
Long part of the USAC racing program the Hut 100 will be a Co-Sanctioned for 2013 with USAC and Powri Speedway joining to present the race.
Terre Haute, Lawrenceburg, Tri Sate and Lincoln Park Speedways have all hosted the event before its transfer to Tri-City Speedway for 2013.
Many of the greats in USAC history have won the Hut 100 including AJ Foyt , Bob Wente, Ric Volger, and Poncho Carter. Current NASCAR drivers Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon have both parked in Victory lane.
Brady Bacon will be at Tri City to defend his 2012 race win from a field of 33 starters which includes Tracey Hines, Jerry Coons Jr, Dave Darland, and Bobby East.
New Zealanders Michael Pickens and Brad Mosen will make the Hut 100 the second outing on their current US racing tour. Pickens will be full of confidence after his first up win at Angell Park last Saturday and touring partner Brad Mosen will better for his fourth placing at the Park.
The Hut 100 with speedcars running three wide around the Tri City Speedway will be an experience that will ensure a full house.
