I remember when Peter Cuneen flew higher than the pit gates at the Sydney Showground Speedway when leading the World Derby way back when. I remember Len Brock, old Lead Foot rolling into the Bull Pen corner week after week The Sherman Cleveland Bryan Cuneen match race, the best ever one on one match race I have ever seen.These and many other 1960 events from the Sydney Showground Speedway live long in my memory.
Remembering past Speedway greats, the big events and all those great nights dodging the flying dirt and cheering till horse.
Along with the Champions of the past were many others who raced week after week without every reaching the heights but were a major part of the excitement and the magic that Speedway produced week in and week out at tracks around Australia.
This is what Vintage Speedway events do for me, bring back that time in the past when as a small excited boy I could not wait to get to my weekly Speedway meeting.
May 17, 18 and 19th at Goulburn Speedway the 2nd Annual Vintage Speedway Spectacular will take pride of place in the first inland City and the place of the first ever Motor Cycle Grand Prix , Goulburn NSW .

Visit the Speedway over the week end and relive those great old days, view the race cars and Motor Cycles that helped thrill fans of all ages. Walk around the static displays and watch the track demonstration runs by Speedcars, Super Modified Hot Rods, Racing Sedans , solo and sidecar motor cycles.
With Race Cars and Bikes from New Zealand, United States, England, Sweden and South Africa .Drivers and riders from the past will grab your attention with their stories and send your mind into memory recall.
Fans of all ages will be able to chat to current race car drivers, meet some of the old timers and hear stories of those never to be repeated days that have made Speedway history.
