Tragic August in Speedway

Tragic August in Speedway

To lose a member of one’s family no matter the circumstance is devastating and the grief so hard to handle .The events during August which took the lives of three of Speedway’s family is hurting the hearts of every Speedway fan across the world. No matter the profile of the racers the loss opens up your heart and brings tears to the eyes of the strongest
From the highest profile driver to the local competitor the one thing they all share is their love of the sport.

It is impossible to find the words to express how one feels when we suffer such losses. Rest in peace does not seem to be enough. They are never lost to us, our memories remains strong and those memories can help ease to pain, a pain we all feel.

The All American Outlaw Series is not a high profile category, just a bunch of good old boys racing as it used to be. Carnie Frylogle has been racing since the moment he learnt to drive.

Motor racing is one big family worldwide and during time of despair and tragedy they join as one to support the families of those affected .Our prayers, thoughts will always be with them.
Please also think about American Midget and Sprintcar driver Kevin Swindell who was seriously injured during the recent Knoxville Nationals and Australian Solo Speedway rider Darcy Ward .It will be a slow road to recovery for both Swindell and Ward.
Can we all continue to pray for all those families, their tears as they slide down their check is like  a river of memories of all the good times and we hope that it helps in some way with their healing. This message was posted by the All American Outlaws for all racers.Prayer for drivers

Talkingspeedway.com has been quite for a few weeks while I took my family on a cruise around the Pacific and then move home and office up to the beautiful central Coast of NSW.
While we have been away a lot has happened in Speedway but my stand in correspondent has had some trouble communicating with the site, I think he became so engrossed in the action he just plain forgot.I did receive this from twitter.dog file
In the World of Outlaws Donny Schatz and Shane Stewart continue to dominate the top step of the podiums after 63 shows. Schatz has claimed 22 wins and Stewart 7 including the Kings Royal .During that time the PA Posse has shown their strength again and continue to frustrate the Outlaws by taking the both nights of the Summer Nationals, one each to Danny Dietrich and Stevie Smith.
The only place for Sprintcar fans this week is Knoxville and the 55th running of the Knoxville Nationals starting August 12th and running to August 15th the entries include 10 from Australia.

The Madsen Brothers, Brooke Tattnall and Lynton Jeffery and Glen Saville backed up by Jamie Veal, James McFadden, Garry Brazier, Bruce White and Scott Boqucki.

The next three days at Knoxville is shaping up as one of the most exciting nationals for some sometime. Can Donny Schatz continue his ruthless domination of the Nationals, 8 win from his last nine National Finals. On recent form Shane Stands out as the clear second favorite but the competition on over the three days of racing leaves little room for mistakes.
With a win purse of $150K for the winner, it will be hammer down and hold on for this the 55th running of this iconic dirt show. The Australian is strong, well prepared and hungry.

Rico Abreu and Bryan Clauson were the most recent winners sharing the show at the Belleville High banks Nationals. Schtaz winning night 2 @ Eldora

ROSSBURG, Ohio (May 9, 2015) . Over the weekend of May 8 and 9 the World of Outlaws and the USAC Sprint teams laid their power right across the mighty Eldora clay. Donny Schatz and his Bad Boys Buggies/Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing team took their first Eldora win in 6 years .The Mothers Day weekend of racing took Schtaz wins to 8 for the season. Schatz and Tony Stewart once again highlighted just how far ahead of all the other teams they are .
The ability that the TSR/Donny Schatz team has to maintain reliability, adapt to differing track conditions anywhere and of most importance the talent and luck to miss the carnage resulting from the high speed racing accidents that are a feature of the give no quarter racing that is the Outlaws .. The ability of his racing crew to prepare race cars that rarely if ever fail to finish. Winning is something but their race management when conditions and car speed are not where they want it shows as they gather championship points every time they hit a race track

Twenty 23 events to date in 2015 and Schatz with 8 wins and 20 top 10 finishes . In 2014 in 91 events Schatz had 80 top 10 and 23 wins .With the additions of Rico Abreu , Christopher Bell, the Posse ,the Ohio Boys and the Californians all together make it difficult to cross the Outlaw stripe first .The Schatz achievements are forging a legend that will surpass any Outlaw achievement .
Two 30 lap A Mains and Schatz lead for all but the first 13 laps of the first night at Eldora. Apart from the time Kerry Madsen was in command Schatz was untouchable as his raced past the stripe twice at Eldora’s Mother of all Sprint events.
Outside of Schatz the big result over the weekend was the best ever 2nd place finish by Garry Taylor on night two. Australian Jamie Veal worked his way onto the front row with Schatz after a strong second in the dash .Chasing Schatz early and after sharing a possible podium position with Taylor Veal fell back and finished in 9th but ahead of some big names like Bell, Stewart and Sweet.
Schatz after his two wins had this to say “”To not have the wins at Eldora, we love to win at Eldora – to get two here this weekend is awesome,” Schatz said. “The track was so good. It could carry so much speed. The times were way down there. I don’t remember the last time you could run around that quick at Eldora in the whole feature.”
